An Enchanted Life RSS

For more reasons than I can count I feel blessed. True, there have been more than a few wrinkles. But the greatest lesson has been how absolutely enchanted a life it's been so far and how much I want to capture the most of every day...all the good, all the bad, all that's beautiful and all that is sad.

My journey has been one of curiosity and optimism seeking new adventures, finding beauty and I've been supported to live a full life.

Raised by smart, funny, supportive people who encouraged us to follow our dreams even if that meant that we dug ditches. My parents were firm in their expectations that whatever we did we should strive to be the best at whatever it was that we loved. We spent a lot of time with them and knew the ins and out of their work (which they loved) but they left this earth much too soon, though my brothers and I feel their presence.

This is dedicated to them and to everyone who dares to live a full life, it's hard but I try. This is an exploration and expression of the things I love and the communication of my love of expression, design, travel, and all the beautiful things that our senses allow us to take in.

Bon voyage!

lots of visual stimulation today that revolved around the way we dress.
the day started with women of all ages lined up around the block for decadestwo’s shoe sale.
it continued with an unplanned, quick and fun tour of the great boutiques on l.a.’s 3rd street.  5 women ducking in and out of stores with major sales. couture clothing, shoes, jewelry, baby gifts housewares and collectables. six stores in an hour.  quite fun.
the evening ended celebrating the best costume designers in television today.  this is the second year i’ve been to this event held at FIDM in downtown l.a.  this year’s emmy nominated costumer showed their designs in the FIDM museum.  mad men, treme, glee the tudors and other shows joined an exhibit of the costumes from tim burton’s alice in wonderland.  but a big part of the fun were the outfits partygoers wore as some of some of those gathered for event had outfits that should have been in the display.  the photo above features one of my favorite manniquin — a great outfit from abc’s “pushing daisies”.
